12 JulSearch and find an IP address match using Regex

Need to find IP addresses in a block of text?

Easy peasy!

Perhaps sometimes you will need to match any possible IP address via regex to find all the IP addresses in a text block. Here is how you can do this…

The regex expression to use is:

[0-9]*\.[0-9]*\.[0-9]*\.[0-9]*

…this will match any potential IPv4 address.

If you need to search a webpage using regex, there’s a way to do that too.

Happy hunting!
