A day in the life of James Aiden
James started his Saturday with a CranioSacral session from one of our previous instructors from IPSB. Dorothy said that his core strength is amazing and was surprised to see James grab his ‘binky’ and put it in his own mouth.
Then Jamesie and Mama Becky stopped by Jamba Juice and met Papa at Balboa Park for a nice lazy hour on the grass.
Back at home Becky and Joshua received some really profound and useful teachings about the differences between men and women. Our friend teaches this material and we LOVED it. The training we received was simple and one would think that it would be obvious to us all (because it is so very fundamental), and yet it was tremendously helpful for us to gain greater understanding of one another as husband and wife.
Later, while Mama Becky made a fantastically delicious dinner of yummy burgers and fries, James and Dada explored the outdoors. At least outside our door that is. It was about sunset and so when facing east our block is ablaze in golden sunshine at this time of day.
James enjoyed the vibrant flowers and leaves in the golden rays. He reached out and grabbed hold of flower and leaves and pull them ever closer to his mouth. “These look delicious!” he was undoubtedly thinking. We laugh and played and explored our front yard. Then Mama and Papa ate dinner outside with Baby James.
This evening James took a bottle and for the first time yet, at four and a half months, he held it entirely on his own! His hand eye coordination is great. We challenge him lovingly to grow strong and be happy.
As I write this, James is sleeping in his crib on his own. For several days now James has been having an easier and easier time going down to sleep and staying asleep a reasonable length of time. “GO JAMES!”
It’s great to be a dad!

That’s very sweet Sarah. Thank you!
It’s good to hear that is appreciated. Blogging can be a bit of a one-way conversation. At least until the comments begin to come in more frequently. I really appreciate your feedback/support that you demonstrate through your comments.
